Information Technology

An advanced remote access computerised system provides you with full stock visibility at any time, while ensuring quality control procedures are met. We are linked to many of our customers via EDI and other IT connection technologies. Simply put, total inventory storage, distribution and management are easy with CHT.

We have invested heavily in Traffic Planning and Management systems enabling us to make better and more cost effective decisions. After all, the more time and money we can save administering transport and distribution, the more efficiently and cost-effectively we can deliver, helping you to become more competitive and profitable.

Our highly experienced IT department will happily write Bespoke Delivery Reporting information in any format you require.

Environmental

With 5 sites and 120 vehicles, primarily our impact on the environment is in such areas as energy conservation and vehicle fleet management.

Year-on-year as a consequence of our robust driver training programme and vehicle replacement policy, the exhaust emission levels of our heavy goods vehicle fleet are improving. As a result both environmental and business benefits are being achieved.

All CHT sites follow our corporate policy, ensuring paper, cardboard, plastics, wood, ink cartridges and PCs are recycled through the appropriate channels. We also closely support a network of local suppliers in each area in which we operate.

We constantly search for ways of improving our efficiency; utilising options to reduce fuel usage which make both business and environmental sense. Driving cost and inefficiency out of our business complements our aim to operate with minimum impact on our shared environment.

Health and Safety

It is the intention of Chris Hayter (Transport) Ltd to achieve the highest possible standards of Health and Safety within the workplace. The relevant information, training and supervision will be provided as is needed for this purpose. It is essential that employees are made aware of all relevant safety matters and as such all will be made aware of the Company’s Safety Policy and Procedures.

All procedures and processes in the work environment are risk assessed annually and audited by qualified personnel. Senior Management and indeed all staff have a prime duty to ensure safe systems of work and the maintenance of company policies and procedures. The Board regularly review the workings of the policy to ensure effective practice.
